Papė is a fishing village in Latvia, located on the coast, 5 kilometers from the Lithuanian border.
The village of Pape is on the shore of the lake - on the east side, and the shore of the sea - on the west side. The lake is heavily reeded, so it is not suitable for swimming, but only for fishing. I have met fishermen going here to fish for over 25 years!
Jekaupi homestead offers you a wonderful holiday in Pape, on the quiet and unoccupied Latvian seaside.
Holidays in Pape are a great choice for everyone who wants to relax and spend a meaningful holiday. Lithuanians discovered and loved this village a long time ago - since 1972, Lithuanian companies have started building resorts here for their employees.
How is Pape different from the Lithuanian coast? Probably the main factor that "saves" from the influx of our compatriots is 8 kilometers of gravel road, which is almost always graded and maintained. Next - most holidaymakers are accustomed to to find bars and shops in every few steps - here you won’t find this. When going to Pape, you need to take care of both food and drinks. In case of urgent need, the Aulaukio Baltijos store always helps with the most essential food or drinks. But here you will find peace, a wide beach, a beautiful forest. On the western side of the lake there is a huge enclosure, where a herd of horses, deer live in conditions of practical freedom. Almost everyone, who came to Pape for the first time, is planning to return again. This is what most people do…
About homestead "Jekaupi"
After building a house for our family in 2010, we also have built a guest house for relatives and friends.
As the occupancy was high and the number of people wanting to stay with us is growing, we have built 3 additional rooms on the second floor.
Our guests will reach the sea in few minutes - we are located in about 400 meters from the beach.
In our territory we have a pond where you can fish.
All rooms are protected with mosquito nets on the windows and doors. All apartments have diffusers, into which we drip natural essential oils to repel mosquitoes.
Double, quadruple and family apartments are available for your stay.
For the convenience of guests, the apartment has:
- Showers and WC;
- Kitchen with all appliances, dishes and cutlery;
- Bed linen, towels;
- DolceGusto coffee machines;
- Diffusers;
- Ground-floor apartments have private terraces with outdoor furniture;
- Wi-Fi
The homestead has bicycles, which our guests use for free.
Price:
Double apartment on the ground floor with terraces (one bedroom with a double bed, we can additionally deliver up to two folding beds) - the daily price is 75 EUR.
Double apartment on the second floor (double bed) - daily price 65 EUR.
Triple apartment on the second floor (three single beds) - daily price 70 EUR.
Six-bed (family) apartment on the second floor (separate room with a double bed and another room with a sofa bed and a bunk bed) - daily price 90 EUR.
ORDER CONDITIONS
50% advance payment is transfered to book an apartment, the rest of the price is paid in cash upon arrival or by the transfer.
Free cancellation is possible 5 days before arrival.
Minimum time of the stay - 2 days.
Fishing
Fishing takes place both in Lake Pape and in the Baltic Sea. Fishing permits can be obtained at the Rucava Post Office or at a gas station. It is also possible to pay online and bring the permit printed by yourself. ATTENTION An additional fee for fishing in the lake has been introduced since this year, so an additional lake permit must be purchased in addition to the regular permit. Boat fishing can be rented from a holiday home in the neighborhood, which usually costs around € 6 for 4 hours.
